Burlap and Blues internet musician forum has moved from www.burlapandblues.com to www.burlapandblues.com/forum

If you are looking for some great discussion on Blues, Blues Guitars, Guitar amplifiers, Guitar Effects, Guitar Technique, or general overal guitar goodness then come on in and register and take part in some great discussion. Burlap and Blues was founded in April 2008 as a response to the closing of Guitar Center's forum for their King of the Blues contest. Most of our members are veterans of this contest.

After struggling for some time to get the MP3 player for Burlap and Blues up and running again I solved the problem on how to get a MP3 player embedded in SMF. During my search I found someone wanting to sell this exact same solution for a couple hundred bucks. Save yourself some money.

Download the Maxi player from http://flash-mp3-player.net/players/maxi/ and install the .swf file in your main directory of your forum.

open the subs.php file after making a backup and instert this snippet of code

download the tune snippet here: http://www.burlapandblues.com/tunesnippet.php.zip

Place that at the end of the 'tag' area in subs.php

change the player's colors etc, by visiting the following page http://flash-mp3-player.net/players/maxi/documentation/.

have your forum users use the [tune]url[/tune] to add a mp3 player. Make sure that you do have a disclaimer that posters are responsible for the copyrights of tunes that they post.
